"The Empire One Running Club " Cross-Country Races

The race course consisting of dirt and gravel roads, circles scenic Ashley reservoir.

The race is open to the public and attracts runners of all abilities. Age group records are kept and prizes are awarded weekly to winners in selected male and female categories.

Dogs and other domestic pets are strictly prohibited at Ashley Reservoir.

THE EMPIRE ONE RUNNING CLUB

“8 WEEK POINTS RACE SERIES”

May 4 – 18, 2026 and June 1 - 29, 2026 (No race on May 25, 2026)

Commencing on Monday, May 4, 2026, the Empire One Running Club will conduct a 8 Week “Points” Race Series. These races are open to the public and there is a $7.00 entrance fee for ages 17 and over. EORC members are $5.00 and ages 16 and under and 70+ are free. A $2.00 charge is required for new and replacement bib numbefrs. The final race will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026. Awards will be presented on Monday, July 6, 2026.

Trophies will be awarded to the Top 3 Male and Top 3 Female Finishers. In addition, Trophies will be awarded to the Top 3 Male and Top 3 Female Age Division Finishers.

Competitors must complete a minimum of 7 races to be eligible for a Trophy.

Points are scored as follows:

The First Place Finisher in each weekly race receives 1000 Points. The remaining finishers receive points based on this formula: Each competitor’s time is divided in to the First Place Finishers time and then that time is multiplied by 1000. All weekly points are cumulative for eight weeks and the competitors with the highest amount of points after eight weeks, will determine our Awards Winners.

June 4, 2026 – August 20, 2026

Commencing on Thursday, June 4, 2026 the Empire One Running Club will conduct a 12 Week “Points” Race Series. These races are open to the public and there is a $7.00 entrance fee ($5.00 for EORC Members). Ages 16 and under and 70+ are free. A $2.00 charge is required for New and Replacement bib numbers. The final race will be held on Thursday, August 20.

48 PRIZES CAN BE AWARDED

Prizes will be awarded to the Top 3 Male and Top 3 Female Finishers.
In addition, Prizes will be awarded to the Top 3 Male and Top 3 Female Age Division Finishers.
